COVID-19 POLICY & PROCEDURES UPDATE
These policies are subject to change to comply with the mandates made by Governor Mills & the Maine CDC recommendations. These policies are in place to prioritize the health and safety of our guests and staff.
Our accommodations allow for social distancing, private entrances, and crowd avoidance. Reservations are accepted on a space-available basis. Specific location requests are honored whenever possible, but not guaranteed. In the event that a particular room or Cottage is not available for safety regulations and restrictions, we reserve the right to place you in the most similar accommodations available.
All reservations must be booked in advance. Currently, no walk-in reservations are allowed.
All reservations booked directly with our property, for stays between May 1st and October 16th, 2021 will enjoy our no-hassle, penalty-free cancellation guarantee. Cancel anytime up to 1-week prior to your arrival and receive a full deposit refund, no questions asked. For full cancellation policy, please see below.
Check-In time is after 3:00 p.m. Although the availability of rooms is not assured prior to 3 p.m. we will make every effort to accommodate you. Upon your arrival, please park in a spot outside of the Guest Reception building. On the lobby porch, please take the envelope with your name on it from the basket. A map with helpful information and keys will be inside the envelope. *Please note, room and cottage doors automatically lock behind you, so keep your key with you at all times.
Letting us know your arrival time in advance, will help us greet you at check-in (even if it's just a wave).
Although we aren't greeting you face to face, we are available to answer any questions you might have by calling the hotel (207) 236-7905.
Check-out time is by 11:00 a.m. We ask that you drop off your keys in the same basket you picked them up from at check-out. Your final receipt will be emailed to you.
An advanced deposit of your first night including tax will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking.
Remaining balances will be charged to your card on file on the day of arrival. We accept MasterCard, VISA, AMEX, and Discover. Please note that all published and/or quoted room rates are subject to Maine State Sales Tax (currently 9%).
While we do have some pet-friendly rooms, all bookings with pets must be made through the hotel directly. Not all accommodations are pet-friendly and a $25 per night, per pet fee will apply. Failure to book direct with the hotel may result in cancellation of your reservation. Additionally, the following pet policies are in place:
Dogs must be domestically trained and on a leash at all times.
We allow up to two pets per pet-friendly room.
Pets up to a 75-pound capacity are welcome.
Should any damage or additional cleaning be required after your stay, those costs will be charged to you accordingly. This includes labor and any loss of room revenue due to room damage by a dog.
We ask that you clean up after your pet waste. For that purpose, we have pet bag stations located throughout the property. Our staff can direct you as to where they are located.
For the safety and security for all of our guests, we ask that you please keep your pet on a leash at all times.
Pets should not be left unattended. They will miss you, and after all, it's their vacation too!
All pet rooms must be verified via phone or email for availability before the reservation is made.
We maintain the practice of thoroughly cleaning all guest rooms using hospital-grade disinfectants and sanitizers, per CDC guidelines. Our staff will not enter your room during your stay to provide daily housekeeping, unless we receive a request for housekeeping needs or maintenance concerns. All linens for your stay will be provided prior to check-in. Extra linens and any amenities will be provided upon request. In an effort to keep your room as clean as possible, we have removed quilts/coverlets, decorative pillows, and fabric window coverings. While we have always ensured the highest cleaning standards for our rooms, we are adding additional steps to sanitize between bookings.
Food & Beverage
Our traditional "Complimentary Continental Breakfast" will be replaced with a Continental Breakfast Basket/Bag, delivered or picked up between 7-9a. As always, we pride ourselves on offering a breakfast that is beyond your standard continental breakfast and hope to carry that tradition forward in our to-go options. We will notify you at check-in or you may contact us with your preference for pick-up or delivery, and we will do our best to accommodate. All of our servers will be wearing a face covering. Disposable utensils and wares will be provided. We will continue to offer beer, wine, water and snacks for sale, as we have in years past.
Only registered guests are allowed. Guests found with unregistered guests may be asked to leave. If you would like to have visitors while on property, please contact the front desk.
Hotel linens, towels, and laundry are washed in accordance with CDC guidelines and AHLA cleaning standards. If something gets soiled/stained, please let us know immediately, so that we can swap it out for you and provide instructions on how to safely bag the soiled linens for pick-up. At this time, Guest Laundry is closed. Any linen missing or damaged beyond repair will be charged to the guest at the full cost of replacement and shipping.
As recommended by the CDC's social distancing guidelines, guests shall be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people not traveling with them, including any area where guests or employees congregate.
Public Spaces & Common Areas
While we will not be opening our Lobby and guest common spaces (breakfast room, gym, and guest laundry) in 2021, the lower pool will be opened the first week of June and the upper pool will be opened mid-June. For any open common areas, cleaning and disinfecting will be frequent (multiple times per day) with an emphasis on high contact, hard non-porous surfaces. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the property in common areas.
Please refer to the full pool policies posted at the entrance. Pool towels will be yours for the duration of your stay. If you require a new towel, please call the hotel and we will swap it out.
Our ice machines are self-serve. You will be expected to use the provided hand sanitizer and wear a face covering when helping yourself to ice.
