A Day in the Life of a Glenmoor Guest

Glenmoor has a lot to offer when it comes to things to do on our twelve-acre, coastal property, you may not want to leave! But if you do, we have recommendations for that too. Here's a little glimpse into a day in the life of a Glenmoor guest...

Wake Up to a Breathtaking Sunrise

Our location provides the perfect landscape for watching the sunrise. Whether you are in an oceanfront cottage or one of our other cottages, the sunrise over the water is just a short walk away. Get your day started off right!

Enjoy a Continental Breakfast

Our staff is ready to deliver a continental breakfast to your room/cottage each morning. This yummy breakfast can include a basket with fresh locally roasted coffee, home-baked muffins or frittatas (local eggs), homemade granola in our parfaits, and local Wild Maine Blueberries. New this year we'll have a kitchen garden growing many items that will make their way into your breakfast. We try extra hard to be sure you have energy for a busy day.

Stroll Down Our Waterfront Deck & Spend Time on the Private Beach

The waterfront deck has some relaxing chairs and a small table so you can easily sit, relax, and take in the scenery. The deck overlooks the private rocky beach below as well as the sea and the islands. During your time of relaxation, keep a lookout for wildlife like shorebirds, seals, harbor porpoise, loons, and even bald eagles flying above. At the beach, you can enjoy the tides and the sound of the waves crashing. Because we are on Penobscot Bay, you can also stay entertained by watching the boats and ships go by. You might even get the chance to watch some lobstering!

Hit the Town

Lincolnville is the perfect place to hit the town for the day. There are plenty of cool spots for hikes in the surrounding areas as well as spots for shopping around. If you drive a few minutes to Camden, there are even more shopping options including antique stores and classic gift shops. On a rainy day, make sure to stop at one of the many museums in the area to take in some of the rich Maine history and artwork.

Eat at a Nearby Restaurant

Of course, all of the shopping and hiking will have you wanting a nice meal. Here in Lincolnville, there is no shortage of restaurants. Some of our favorites include Whale's Tooth Pub, Lobster Pound, McLaughlin's Lobster Shack, Lincolnville General Store Public House (new), and Aster & Rose (new).

We highly suggest getting some Maine lobster while you're here, you can't go wrong!

Go for a Dip in the Pool

After a long day in the sun, take a dip in one of our two heated outdoor pools or lay on one of our loungers and watch the kids swim! Either way, our pool areas are a great place to relax and enjoy the weather.

Take Part in Some Games

Once your time on the town comes to an end, feel free to return back to Glenmoor for some games. Glenmoor has a bunch of games your family will love including disc golf, cornhole, horseshoes, and soccer. You can also head over to our BRAND NEW PICKLEBALL COURT!

Beautiful Sea Views

The views of the water while the sun goes down are some of our favorites. Take a few minutes to take in the sea views that our seaside location provides.

Relax by the Fire

There's nothing better than a Maine campfire. Watch as the candy cotton colors of the evening turn into a dark starry night. Hear the cracking of the embers and relax. You're on vacation and the day is done. S'mores anyone?

Pick Up Some Glenmoor Merch

This will be a trip you don't want to forget. Before you leave us, stop by the gift shop and pick up some Glenmoor by the Sea merch! We have it all, including sweatshirts, mugs, hats, beer & wine, and more!
