For the Ultimate Oceanfront View: The Lower Cottages
If waking up to an unobstructed view of Penobscot Bay and the Islands is your main goal, look at our Lower Cottages.
Oceanfront Cottages:
These are the most coveted spots, located in the front row closest to the water. They offer clear, spectacular ocean views and the easiest access to the private beach below.
Oceanview Cottages:
These cottages are grouped just behind the Oceanfront Cottages and are staggered to give you the best view possible. They are still spacious and recently updated. Some of these cottages even feature a cozy fireplace.
Ocean Access Note:
The Lower Cottages are closest in proximity to the ocean and the lower pool. It is about a five-minute uphill walk to reach the upper resort amenities like the lobby, tennis court, and exercise facility.
For Panoramic Views and Resort Convenience: The Upper Accommodations
If you prioritize a sweeping, high-up view, privacy, and quick access to the main resort area, consider the Inn, Motel, and Upper Cottages.
Upper Cottages:
At an elevation of over 125 feet above sea level, these accommodations boast outstanding panoramic views of the bay and the islands from their private patio deck. You'll wake up to distant water views and our sweeping landscapes. They are located close to the upper pool, lobby, and fitness center.
The Motel:
Rooms in the motel building are very spacious and offer a beautiful view of Penobscot Bay and the Islands from their large rear deck. They are also located close to the upper pool and lobby and exercise facility.
The Inn:
The Inn is a two-story building with exterior entrances, offering distant water views and sweeping views of our beautifully landscaped grounds. Some rooms and suites feature shared balconies, perfect for enjoying the fresh island air. The Inn also houses our two largest suites and is conveniently located closest to the tennis court and two playgrounds. It's a great choice for guests who want to be near the upper pool, lobby, and exercise facility.
Privacy Note: The Upper Cottages tend to offer great views along with spacious layouts. Their elevated position and location away from the immediate waterfront can also provide a quiet and tranquil atmosphere.
Finding Your Perfect Maine Stay
Here is a quick look at where to stay based on your priorities:
If you want a Direct, Unobstructed Ocean View: We recommend an Oceanfront Cottage. They are in the front row, right by the water, offering a spectacular oceanfront setting.
If you want Panoramic, Elevated Views: We recommend an Upper Cottage or The Motel. They are elevated and provide outstanding views from their private decks or spacious rear decks.
If you want to be Closest to the Water/Beach: We recommend the Lower Cottages (Oceanfront). They are the closest in proximity to the ocean and the rocky beach.
If you want to be Closest to the Lobby/Pools/Gym: We recommend The Inn, The Motel, or Upper Cottages. These are centrally located near the upper pool and main facilities.
