If you like the outdoors or are just looking for the highest point to enjoy a commanding view of picturesque Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay, then hiking up Mt. Battie is the way to go. This is a relatively easy hike - 1 hour up the mountain, and 1 hour down. For those less adventurous, Mt. Battie Road will take you straight to the top. Once there the lookout tower provides a great backdrop for the even more spectacular views you will find looking across the bay to Cadilac Mountain (Acadia/ Bar Harbor) and Blue Hill. Glenmoor residents can opt for a short ride down the road to the beginning of the hiking trail or simply leave the car behind and enjoy the short walk between the Glenmoor and Camden State Park.
