Local Favorites | Camden Maine Area Restaurants

Lincolnville Beach, a mile away from Glenmoor, Lincolnville Beach offers not only the Whales Tooth Pub and Restaurant (featured) but also the well known McLaughlin’s Lobster Shack, a laid back environment with the best crab meat roll around, and Chez Michel, an upscale Italian restaurant with incredible seafood options from steamed mussels to baked haddock. All offering not only a great selection of fine seafood but many options for non-seafood lovers, like hamburgers and chicken burgers at McLaughlin’s and many pasta choices at Chez Michel.

Whales Tooth Pub & Restaurant
Whales Tooth Restaurant at Lincolnville Beach is a full service, locally-owned restaurant overlooking beautiful Penobscot Bay. This restaurant has a cozy feel with nice decor. There is a great variety of entrees and deserts for any type of diner. The grilled pork medallions with apples and baked seafood mornay are our favorites at Whales Tooth.

Atlantica Restaurant
By far one of the most romantic restaurants in the Camden area. Make reservations early to sit outside and enjoy dining on the water during sunset or under the moonlight.

Hartstone Inn Restaurant
Experience the cuisine of internationally award-winning Chef/Owner Michael Salmon at the Hartstone Inn. Head there for cocktails at 7 p.m. and make your reservation for a five-course dinner, served daily at 7:30 p.m. Presented in Hartsone Inn’s elegant Maine dining room on fine china and crystal, the acclaimed evening meals are a sumptuous gourmet treat for the Maine tourist. Even the most critical diner will be impressed with the immaculate cuisine and atmosphere at the Hartstone. For those with a lighter stomach, the “A La Carte” dinner is incredible and just as romantic, available at 6 p.m.

The Helm
Home of the best Clam chowder around! Highly recommended, this restaurant is laid back yet classy with great food at a reasonable price.

Primo
Award winning Primo was recommended by famed restaurant critic, Anthony Bourdain. Here you will enjoy fine dining inspired by both Mediterranean and Italian Cuisines with a local twist. Primo is 4 miles south of Rockland making it a great restaurant to try if you plan to visit the nearby Farnsworth Art Museum. Reservations are highly recommended, well in advance!
