Find an Outdoor Adventure

Camden State Park and Mt. Battie
If you like the outdoors or are just looking for the highest point to enjoy a commanding view of picturesque Camden Harbor and Penobscot Bay, then hiking up Mt. Battie is the way to go. This is a relatively easy hike – 1 hour up the mountain, and 1 hour down. For those less adventurous, Mt. Battie Road will take you straight to the top. Once there the lookout tower provides a great backdrop for the even more spectacular views you will find looking across the bay to Cadilac Mountain (Acadia/ Bar Harbor) and Blue Hill. Glenmoor residents can opt for a short ride down the road to the beginning of the hiking trail or simply leave the car behind and enjoy the short walk between the Glenmoor and Camden State Park.

Kayaking

Down the street from the Glenmoor is Ducktrap Kayak. Explore Maine’s coast first hand on 2 hour or half-day guided tours. This outfitter carries finest kayaks, gear, clothing, and books. Tours available daily May – October. No experience necessary.

Lincolnville Beach
The Lincolnville Beach is a small but delightful public beach just up the road overlooking boat docks and is also home to not one but two great restaurants featuring Maine’s famous Lobster Rolls. While there be sure to check out the Lobster Pound or McLaughlin’s Lobster Shack.
